Our story
Humble concrete,
made to mean something.
Techcrete is a small South African studio shaping concrete and white cement into pieces with a soul — birdbaths, pedestals, memorial tributes and little planters, each one cast and engraved by hand.
It started with a single pour
What began as an experiment with a bag of cement became a quiet obsession: how to make something as ordinary as concrete feel personal. The answer was words — verses, blessings and names, engraved deep enough to weather a lifetime in the garden.
Today every Techcrete piece is still made the same way — by hand, in small batches, finished and sealed for the outdoors. No two are ever identical, and that's exactly how we like it.
What we stand for
The way we make
Cast by hand
Mixed, poured and finished by hand in small batches — never mass-produced.
Engraved to last
Words are cut deep into the concrete so a verse or name endures the seasons.
Two languages
Verses and blessings in both English and Afrikaans, close to home.
Made with meaning
From a birdbath to a memorial, each piece is made to be kept and remembered.
“One is nearer God's heart in a garden
than anywhere else on earth.”
— engraved on a Techcrete birdbath
